Let’s work together to maintain a healthy learning environment for all students at Haw Creek. Please refer to your Forsyth County Student Handbook for requirements for keeping students home when they are sick, and follow these guidelines:
A child is not to return to school until fever, diarrhea and/or vomiting have stopped for a full 24 hours without the aid of medication. Prescribed antibiotic medication for communicable diseases are to be given for 24 hours prior to return.

Thank you in advance for your help. If you have questions or concerns, you may contact your school nurse.

Parents we need your help!!
Please help us by completing the parent survey below. Our current Star Rating is a 4 and we are working hard to reach the top with a Star Rating of a 5. Public schools in Georgia are evaluated on the College and Career Ready Performance Index (CCRPI) using survey data from parents to calculate the School Climate Star Rating. Please help Haw Creek maximize our CCRPI score by taking the following parent survey by 3/2/18.
Georgia Parent Survey 32 questions CLICK HERE to take the survey! Parents with children at multiple schools must complete one survey per school.

Every year we try to show ALL of the Haw Creek staff how much they are truly appreciated and say "Thank you" for everything they do. Each day there are simple suggestions to show your appreciation. Please feel free to participate when you are able. Some staff members have filled out Teacher Favorites list, found at HawCreekPTA.org, to help with suggestions.
Monday- We Donut what we would do without you! Have your student write your teacher(s) and tell them how special they are. Feel free to spread the love and write to other staff members as well. PTA will treat the staff to a Continental Breakfast and Coffee!
Tuesday- Thanks for making our kids such Smart Cookies! Bring in a special sweet treat for their teacher. (piece of fruit, candy or dessert)
Wednesday- Granting Wishes Day, Bring in an item from your class wish list. PTA will provide classroom supplies for each teacher. PTA will also provide cater lunch for the staff.
Thursday- Gifts of Appreciation. Bring a Staff member a little something to show your appreciation in the form of a gift card.

BOX TOPS SPRING DRIVE FEBRUARY 1ST - 21ST
The homeroom of each grade level that collects the most Box Tops will win an PARTY!
Cutting and saving Box Tops...what an awesome and easy way to get involved and give back to our school!! For each Box Top that is submitted, HCES earns 10 cents. If every student turned in 50 Box Tops, that would equal $5.00 per student. With just over 1,000 students, that would easily amount to $5,000 for our school!
The goal this year is to raise $4,000. With your help, the money raised will go towards new playground equipment. To get involved, simply cut the Box Tops off participating grocery items, place them in a ziploc bag with your child's name and teacher, and send into school. Each homeroom will have a collection container.
Happy Children's Dental Health Month from Dental Town!! We love Dental Health Month at Dental Town. It gives us a platform to inform and educate kids and parents in proper care and maintenance of their teeth. Regular cleanings and Fluoride treatments are key factors in reducing tooth decay as well as a healthy diet. Did you know that it is impossible to clean some surfaces of your teeth? It's true, no matter how much you brush, some people have areas of their teeth called " pits and fissures" that are impossible to clean and this leads to cavities which requires fillings or crowns. Placing sealants on molars when they erupt will fill in the pits and fissures and make the tooth much more resistant to decay.
Dental Town offers a variety of services and not just pediatric dentistry. Please call and schedule an appointment for your orthodontics, or adult visits as well. We strive to provide many specialties under one roof to save you time and money seeking all your dental care. Please feel free to visit our website at www.dentaltownsmiles.com for more information or call 770-622-1515.
The Dojo is built to solve some of the biggest problems facing parents today - the lack of discipline and a lack of positive environments. We are a karate school, but we are about so much more than kicks and punches. At The Dojo, kids learn that if they want something, they have to earn it. They learn to defend themselves, and develop the confidence to know that they're worth fighting for.
We offer evening classes as well as a transported After School Program for parents who need care for their kids after school and want the added benefit of knowing that their kids will be working towards their goals, active, and challenged each day.
