WE LOVE OUR VOLUNTEERS!
Haw Creek PTA appreciates and loves all the great volunteers that help to ensure our events are a great time for our families!
Without our volunteers none of our events would be possible!
Every month we would like to send a special shout out and small token of appreciation to volunteers that went the extra mile for our Huskies!
We would like to thank all our volunteers for helping make Husky Palooza a huge success.
Planning on a “staycation” for spring break? Looking for something to do? Build a hydroponic system that we can use in our cafeteria for growing lettuce, spinach, herbs, etc. Here are some links to ideas:
There will be a $50 first place prize and a $25 second place prize for the best systems. They will be judged by how little space they take up, how high the yield will be, how low the cost was and how many recycled materials were used. Bring your system with you to Science Night. The winner will be announced that evening. Good luck!

May the 4th Be With You!
Using input from 7,000+ stakeholders for the 2017-22 Strategic Plan and a list of needs submitted by school and district administrators, FCS staff worked from May through December 2017 to create a list of 2019-22 local capital improvement projects for a May 22, 2018 Bond.
Forsyth County Schools also completed a new State Facilities Plan during the same timeframe to maximize state funding earnings. It is estimated that FCS will receive $28 million in funding. The bond project list was approved by the BOE in January.
Our Spring book fair was a huge success! It was an exciting time and the kids LOVED it!!
I want to thank the administration, teachers and staff for their support, all our parents and students for shopping and to all the WONDERFUL volunteers that gave their time to assist. Finally, I want to give a big shout out to Alma Blakemore, the book fair coordinator, for all of her tireless efforts to make sure the event was organized, staffed and well run.
